Deleting your personal data

User data deletion instructions · Last updated: 5 May 2026

This is an English translation of the Spanish original. If the two differ, the Spanish version is the one that applies.

1. Your right to erasure

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, art. 17) and the Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPDGDD), you have the right to ask for the deletion of the personal data Imane Platform holds about you. This right is commonly known as the «right to be forgotten».

2. What gets deleted

When you ask for deletion, we delete:

  • Your user account data: name, email, hashed password, registration date.
  • Your organisation's data: trading name, sector, bot configuration, knowledge base, connected integrations.
  • Conversations and captured leads: the history of messages exchanged with the bot and the contact details collected (name, email, phone and so on).
  • OAuth tokens of connected social accounts: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Google Calendar.
  • Generated content: posts, content plans, images and videos created by the platform.
  • Logs and usage metrics that could identify you.

3. What we have to keep (legal obligation)

The law requires us to keep the following for the period it sets:

  • Invoices and accounting records for 6 years (Spanish Law 58/2003, General Tax Act — art. 70).
  • Data tied to legal obligations under way (disputes, requests from the Spanish Tax Agency and so on) until they are resolved.

That data is blocked (not available for commercial use) until the obligation expires, at which point it is deleted for good.

4. How to ask for deletion

Option A · Do it yourself from your account

If you are an active customer and can get into your account:

  1. Log in at imane.app/login
  2. Go to Account settings
  3. If you are the owner of the organisation, the «Delete my account» section lets you log your request. The request is recorded and our team handles it with supervision: we cancel your subscription and delete your data within 30 days at the latest (GDPR art. 12.3), and we confirm by email when it is done. Deletion is not instant: it is processed in a controlled way so that the legal retention obligations are respected (see point 3).

Option B · By email

If you cannot get into your account, you were invited by another user, or you would rather put it formally, send an email to:

info@malaga-consulting.com

Put «Data deletion request» in the subject.

In the body, include:

  • Your full name
  • The email you registered with (or the name of the organisation)
  • If you connected social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram), tell us which, so that we also revoke the OAuth tokens on those platforms
  • A copy or the number of your ID card or passport so we can verify who you are (we destroy it once verified)

Option C · Deleting Facebook / Instagram data specifically

If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Imane Platform and you want to revoke the data tied to that connection specifically, you can do it from Facebook directly, without sending an email:

  1. Go to facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find «Imane» in the list of connected apps.
  3. Press Remove.
  4. Tick the box «Delete all posts, photos and videos on Facebook associated with this app» if you also want Facebook to delete the posts Imane published on your behalf.

That revokes the OAuth permissions on Facebook immediately. On our servers we then delete the tokens within 30 days of your request at the latest.

5. How long we take

  • Acknowledgement: within 48 working hours.
  • Actual deletion: within the following 30 calendar days (GDPR art. 12.3).
  • Final confirmation: we send you an email confirming the deletion once it is complete.

6. Special cases

Third-party data (the bot's end customers)

If you are an end customer who interacted with the bot of a business that uses Imane (for example, you contacted a clinic and talked to its virtual assistant), your data is the responsibility of that business, not of Imane Platform. To ask for deletion, contact the business directly. If you get no answer, write to us at info@malaga-consulting.com and we will step in.

Complaints

If you believe your rights have not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at sedeagpd.gob.es or by calling +34 901 100 099.
